Even greater service orientation and further development of the product portfolio
A two-day team retreat at the end of April offered an opportunity to personally build on the mostly digital interaction in everyday working life between Bonn, the RAL headquarters, and the German Environment Agency in Dessau-Roßlau and set out the joint path for the further development of the Blue Angel. Before celebrating the German Environment Agency’s 50th anniversary this year, the city on the Elbe played host to visitors from the Rhine. One of the main topics was the further optimisation of the background processes involved in awarding certifications. Service orientation is set to play a greater role in the future and processing should thus be made easier for companies – with the same demanding criteria.
The Blue Angel ecolabel thrives not least on the diversity of the now more than 30,000 certified products from around 1,600 companies. Flexibility in responding to changing consumer habits and product ranges should also be maintained in the future. The personal interaction within the team retreat was thus an opportunity to discuss the further development of the product portfolio at an early stage.
Incidentally, there are already plans to see each other again in Dessau-Roßlau in the near future. From 10 am on 15 June, but not only for the team members from the German Environment Agency and RAL, but also for the general public with an interest in the environment. The German Environment Agency is opening its doors to mark its 50th anniversary and is looking forward to receiving many guests – including at the Blue Angel stand in the building’s atrium.
