Apollo Mehrwegboxen aus Kunststoff

 Waste avoidance instead of waste disposal!

Until the successful introduction of reusable containers for store deliveries, Apollo used cardboard boxes exclusively for its daily supply. With over 1000 stores and daily deliveries, over 100 tons of cardboard waste presented itself within one whole year. In collaboration with container producer Schoeller Allibert GmbH, Apollo Optik Holding GmbH & Co. KG created a method in which empty containers can be transported easily. The empty bins can be piggybacked with the stores return shipment, which in turn, is eco-friendly. On account of the high requirements of the shipping providers, there was no similar system implemented on the German market at the start of the project.
