Environmentally friendly Take Back Schemes for Mobile Phones (DE-UZ 209)
Mobile phones are an integral part of our lives. Their manufacture requires the use of a variety of raw materials that are sourced in a complex and often environmentally damaging way. That is why, from the environmental point of view, the focus should be on a long useful life of the devices. This can be achieved if at the end of their initial use mobile phones are reused. To this end, they need to be carefully collected and treated beforehand.
The objectives of this eco-label are avoidance of waste and preservation of natural resources. The Blue Angel allows consumers or public authorities to spot take-back schemes for mobile phones whose primary objective is to prepare the devices for reuse. Second life use of the devices helps not only to save resources and energy but also to avoid waste.
